When To Water Plants

Generally, the best time to provide your plants with water is during one of two times: early in the morning, or late at night. When you give your plants soil some time to cool down, it will greatly benefit you as soil is better absorbed with water when its cooler. This is opposed to evaporation when it is warmed during the day.

Even with this general information, all plants are different and require different watering times:

Container Plants

Since these plants have a finite amount of soil available and large amounts of water drains out of them quite quickly, you will need to water these plants twice a day. The best schedule to maintain when watering these plants includes once in the morning and once at night.
