The foundation is a 501 c 3 Not-for-Profit Tax-Exempt Organization. Minority Enterprise Development Week – MED Week Offers a venue for minority-owned firms to access information, tools, and resources to grow their businesses both domestically and internationally through networking events,workshops, and issue forums. The events that compose MED Week are meant to raise awareness among minority business owners, and the larger business community. The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. was founded in 2010 and is New York State's Largest African American Chamber of Commerce and the Metro New York District of the U.S. SBA 2019 Small Business Champion for Downstate, N.Y.
