Book Revels in that First Love

PIKEVILLE, N.C. - Sept. 6, 2022 - PRLog -- First Love: The Art of Making Doughnuts comes from the Insecure Writer's Support Group's seventh annual anthology contest. A Writer's Digest Top 101 Site for Writers, the IWSG's theme for entries centered on first love with a strong emphasis on "sweet romance." The group's 20,000+ members responded, and once the administrators selected the top stories, the official judges, a panel of authors, agents, and publishing industry experts, went to work.

Focusing on the innocence of first love, the book takes readers back to that special moment when Cupid's arrow found its mark. From contemporary to historical, the stories follow young love and lost love found again. Linda Budzinski won the top spot in the contest. Her story, The Art of Making Doughnuts, received the subtitle and cover art honor. For nine of the ten authors, this is their first Insecure Writer's Support Group anthology.
