DALLAS - July 19, 2022 - PRLog -- The unique Yoruba Cultural Center, Dallas, Texas continues to narrow knowledge gaps about the Yoruba race through activities that cement the bond between African Americans, Yorubas in the Diaspora and Yorubas domiciled at home. Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula and Grand Custodian of Yoruba Heritage, The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II recently proclaimed the Center as a source of preservation of Yoruba culture and promoter of education on the Yoruba heritage.
The Yorubafest is organized by the non-profit organization, Yoruba Cultural Center Dallas Inc, to highlight and promote the arts, music, and culture of the great Yoruba people. The two-day event to be launched by Mayor Eric Lynn Johnson, Mayor of Dallas on Saturday October 15, 2022, enjoys the royal patronage of the Custodian of the Yoruba Culture and Heritage, His Royal Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, The Ooni of Ife, whose delegation will include eminent Yoruba kings and royalty. Saturday, October 15, 2022, afternoon will host Kim O Summer 2022 Ankara Collection. This Yorubafest Haute Couture Fashion Show will display the best of African designs before the select audience of fashion connoisseurs in America. Yorubafest 2022 will also celebrate selected aspects of the unique Yoruba culture with entertainment replete with food, drumming, drama, and dance.

About the Yoruba Cultural Center
The Yoruba Cultural Center (https://www.yorubacenter.org) is a 501(c)3 IRS–designated not-for-profit organization established in Dallas, Texas for cultural, artistic, and educational activities that promote the history, art and cultural heritage of the Yoruba people of West Africa. It hosts an Art and Heritage Museum, and a Yoruba language, drum, dance, and drama school. The Center is opens daily to the public.
The Center also awards scholarships to high school seniors and runs other programs in its Youth Center that educate and mentor young members of the community, especially minorities, to pursue their goals and life ambitions. The Center is also an avenue for business meetings, conferences, movie showings, photo-shoots, and other formal and informal gatherings, shows and festivals.
