Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett vows to find money for developing black communities from Washington

DALLAS - Nov. 23, 2023 - PRLog -- The President of the organization, Apostle Rapheal Adebayo introduced Congresswoman Crockett US Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett to a rousing welcome. Crockett expressed her delight in being honored with the invitation to the Yoruba Day 2023 held in Dallas, Texas on November 11, 2023. She insisted that she was particularly happy because it gave her another opportunity to visit the people who she serves. Crockett thanked the audience for their ovation. However, she was rather more gratified for the opportunity to meet the constituents whose interests she represents in Washington. She noted that since the Yoruba people moved into Dallas, they have significantly stimulated positive economic transformations in the city.

Hence, Crockett said it was her duty to approach them to investigate what other areas of interests that they are working on to find support by pursuing sources of funding for these projects from Washington. She maintained that her exposure has provided her with access to some opportunities that may not have been explored in the past. Therefore, the Yoruba community should not be shy in reaching out to her office with ideas that they are working on. Crockett made it clear that it was her duty to serve, she was elected to serve, and she is determined to transform the fortunes of the black communities as she continues the work of her predecessor.

The Yoruba Day 2023 themed 'Profitable Ventures in Dallas-Fort Worth' held at The Winners Plaza, 1709 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Dallas, TX 75215 on Saturday, November 11, 2023, was organized by Omo Yoruba Dallas-Fort Worth as a day of family funfair, socializing and networking among Yoruba people of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. It featured a Breakfast Network meeting where Congresswoman Crockett featured prominently ( There was a historic journey how the Yoruba heritage was sustained during the era of slavery and following the emancipation. Afro X also entertained us on how the African dance steps have evolved over through history into the modern rhythms. The events ended with a Gall Night Fundraiser for the Proposed Yoruba House in Dallas which is to serve as the economic hub for the Yoruba people of Dallas-Fort Worth.
