OXFORD, U.K. - May 27, 2025 - PRLog -- As part of the global Thy Kingdom Come prayer movement, Discovering Prayer has launched a series of short, guided prayers from Ascension to Pentecost on its brand new app - free to everyone.

Commissioned by Lambeth Palace, the guided prayers help users pause and pray for peace in the world and for five people they know. Each one lasts around 5 minutes and draws on Bible readings and the quiet wisdom of monastic tradition.

The app is designed to support those who want to pray but don't know where to start, or who find it difficult to maintain a daily practice. With gentle guidance, users can pray while walking, commuting, resting, or sitting in silence - whenever they find a moment.

"We know people long for peace, stillness and connection with God - but daily life makes that hard," says Michelle Eyre, Director of Discovering Prayer. "The app helps people build a rhythm of prayer that's flexible, meaningful, and rooted in the life of the Church."

What's included for Thy Kingdom Come 2025:

●      11 audio-led guided prayer times — one for each day from Ascension to Pentecost
●      Bible-based reflections and moments of stillness
●      Created in partnership with Lambeth Palace
●      Free to use and suitable for individuals or groups

Over the years, more than 70,000 people have joined Discovering Prayer through the website, using the charity's audio-led reflections to help them grow in prayer. Now, for the first time, these resources are available free of charge, in one place, through the new Discovering Prayer app - making it easier than ever for people to build a daily rhythm of prayer, wherever they are.

"They're like the intercessions in church - you just sink into them and let your heart respond." - Amy

With Thy Kingdom Come inspiring millions around the world to pray between Ascension and Pentecost, Discovering Prayer offers a gentle, accessible way to join in - one day, one prayer at a time.
