PRLog -- The Flexible AFS Backup System (FABS) is a suite of tools and daemons for managing backups for an AFS cell. FABS does not directly backup data to long-term storage, but acts as a bridge between AFS and an existing plain-file backup system. This approach allows FABS to integrate AFS data into existing backup infrastructure regardless of backup software, and avoids using vendor-specific APIs.
Margarete Ziemer, CEO, emphasizes: "We are proud to say we continue to support the open-source community with a sharp focus on the mainframe and OpenAFS areas. We sincerely thank all our past and current customers and our associates. We are always ready to tackle your problems with custom solutions, particularly in the open-source space."
