Georgia Senator Ed Harbison Speaks, Veterans Family Retreat Weekend

COLUMBUS, Ga. - July 5, 2022 - PRLog -- Optimal Living Education & Retreats LLC founder Versandra Kennebrew announced today that sponsorship opportunities are now available for the upcoming Annual Veterans Family Retreat weekend. These events, held during National Self Improvement Month, will be on September 9^th and 10^th. September 9^th will include the Self-Care Fest, from 10 am to 5 pm, and the Humanitarian Award Gala (where a local hero will be honored; nominations will be accepted through September 1, 2022, at www.vet-fest.org) from 7 pm to 10 pm, both held at the Columbus, Georgia Convention and Trade Center. Senator Ed Harbison, Legislative Officer for the Department of Georgia Military Order of the Purple Heart will be the special guest speaker. The Annual Veterans Family Retreat will be on the 10^th from 10 am to 6 pm at the Lakeside Retreat and Event Center, in Seale, Alabama.

The Annual Veterans Family Retreat 2-day weekend provides a safe space to demonstrate the benefits of living a holistic lifestyle for local heroes and is expected to attract hundreds of people across Alabama and Georgia. It harnesses the power of wellness education. "We believe wellness education places the power to live healthier, happy lives in our own hands. We invite our local heroes and their families to enjoy holistic lifestyle activities including yoga, meditation, mindfulness, aromatherapy, massage therapy, journal writing, lectures, and more," says founder Versandra Kennebrew. Joining Kennebrew in hosting the event are Leonard Morgan, of Vet-Fest, and Christopher Wilkes, of Art of Yoga.
