Veterans Retreat in Celebration of National Self-Improvement Month

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Sept. 5, 2021 - PRLog -- The event will be held at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga utilizing its natural setting full of changing fall colors. This year's theme is, "Self Care is Self Love," and it will feature holistic lifestyle classes, partner yoga, massage, and meditation for adults and children on Robins Lake Beach.

Optimal Living Education & Retreats, CEO, Versandra Kennebrew, said experience is the ultimate teacher. "We believe that health, and happiness, is a natural outcome of living a more holistic lifestyle. But we want people to ask – what does holistic living really mean for my family – and learn to live it well."

Lead instructor and owner of Art of Yoga Christopher Wilkes will present. "This event is an opportunity to be part of something big, and beautiful, doing lifestyle, mindset, and exercise activities in a community-oriented environment," he said.

The team of experts invite families and individuals for a full day of workshops. "The military men, and women, who serve come from all walks of life, and are an important part of their communities. We want to put these holistic lifestyle skills into the hands of people who have sacrificed so much for us," Kennebrew said.

In 1999 Kennebrew earned her massage therapy certification in Detroit, Mi, and after receiving her health coach certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition she studied for her 200-Hour CYTT at Kashi Atlanta Ashram. In 2016 she began an apprenticeship in radio broadcasting producing more than 100 episodes of Health & Healing Chronicles on Atlanta's 89.3 FM. Today she spotlights dynamic healing artists from around the world on "Optimal Living Starts Here," a YouTube web series.
