Updated BMW X7 Introduces a Unique Front Style in 2022

CHANDIGARH, India - April 19, 2022 - PRLog -- Earlier this year, BMW gave the X7, its flagship luxury SUV, a major facelift, along with a variety of updates. It will launch in 2023 with a re-profiled front end, extra power and an updated interior. The new X7's front has been redesigned, and it now sports split headlights instead of the conventional setup.

BMW has never used this design philosophy before in any of its previous models. The new standard will be used for other BMW models, eventually trickling down to the electric i7 sedan and the 7 Series. They mounted LED DRLs near the bonnet line and positioned the headlamps lower on the bumper. The 40i xDrive variant's kidney grille gets darkened boards, while they trim the bumper in silver.

The grille and bumper-mounted air vents on the top-spec M60i are all finished in black gloss. It also fixes the headlights in dark colors to give it a sportier look. It comes with 21-inch wheels on the xDrive 40i and 22 inches on the M60i. An updated LED taillight is now connected to the SUV's slimmer chrome bar at the back.

This model comes with the same 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engine as the base X7 xDrive 40i. The 48V mild-hybrid system powers the M60i's twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine. The engine has an additional 40 horsepower and 70.5 Nm, for 375 horsepower and 519 Nm. In 4.0 seconds, the M60i can speed up from 0 to 100 kph to a maximum top speed of 290 kph. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic with launch control.

It will come with an infotainment system with an 8-inch display. Digital instrumentation and a 14.9-inch touchscreen are included. In addition to enhanced user interface features and a simplified home screen, the iDrive 8 also features gesture control.
