GEO Jobe Donates to Gulfport Middle School's Robotics Team

GULFPORT, Miss. - March 29, 2022 - PRLog -- GEO Jobe is proud to announce the sponsorship of Gulfport Middle School's Pink Diamonds Robotics team. GEO Jobe's sponsorship gives their Team the opportunity to grow in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Pink Diamonds is the first Gulfport Middle School's all-female robotics team. Additionally, they are the first team to Secure a Spot at the REC Foundation's VEX Robotics World Championship (https://www.roboticseducation.org/vex-robotics-world-championship/). The action-packed day requires middle and high school students to execute the 2021-2022 VEX Robotics Competition game, Tipping Point (https://www.roboticseducation.org/vex-robotics-competition/) presented by the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation. To prepare for the tournament, the group worked together to design, build, and program a robot using VEX V5 (http://www.vexedr.com/), that could quickly and efficiently solve specific challenges that come with playing the 2021-2022 VEX Robotics Competition game, Tipping Point. Each week, the students apply what they've learned about STEM in the classroom, to build these semi-autonomous machines.

Pink Diamond's program utilizes robots to build better minds and future leaders. GEO Jobe's sponsorship gives the team the opportunity to grow and learn teamwork, work management, communications and participate in public outreach.
