This annual celebration of mathematics actually started in 1988 where staff members of San Francisco Exploratorium, a science and technology museum in California, consumed fruit pies while standing in a circle. Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop, a made-from-scratch pie shop, was grown from loving memories of family traditions and recipes. This custom pie shop started in Knoxville, Tennessee and now has over 20 locations delivering desserts to their guests that are made with love and all based on fam- ily recipes from the owners' ancestors.

This year the original Bearden, TN location will host all types of Pi (and pie) fans on this iconic March day with Pi inspired pricing, like mini pies for $3.14. Shops have nine daily flavors in three sizes so there's always something available for everyone.
