Changing Tides Foundation Announces 3rd Annual Plant-Based March Challenge

Month long Challenge invites participants to recognize the effect industrial agriculture has on the planet.

ENCINITAS, Calif. - Feb. 28, 2022 - PRLog -- Changing Tides Foundation has announced their 3rd annual global Plant-Based March Challenge. The challenge was instigated by research into the devastating effects of industrial agriculture on our oceans and the world around us and the desire to promote change. As in previous years, challenge participants are encouraged to focus on whole foods and whole grains, no animal products, reduced mass-produced foods and the mindful eating of foods that do not tax the planet. The urgency in addressing climate changes has intensified as the U.N climate report released on February 28th, 2022 has indicated escalating toll, although scientists say the world can still choose a less catastrophic path.

At the Changing Tides Foundation website participants can download the Plant-Based March Guide which includes grocery lists, sample meals and tips to make the Challenge easy. Weekly recipes will be posted on their Instagram. Changing Tides Foundation Co-Founder Becky Mendoza says, "Eating can be a form of activism and we really want people to realize that just by being mindful we can have an impact". The Foundation stresses that the purpose of the Challenge is education, and even making small changes during March makes a difference.

Participation in the challenge is free and requires no sign-up but sharing of recipes, photos and tips is encouraged by tagging #plantbasedmarch and @changingtidesfoundation in stories and posts. Please visit (https://www.changingtidesfoundation.org/projects/plant-ba...)
