San Diego Native Captain Liz Clark Making Waves as Bestseller Swell is Being Adapted for Television

Book by San Diego native that captured and inspired hearts worldwide is sailing to television screens.
 
ENCINITAS, Calif. - March 4, 2022 - PRLog -- Girls everywhere have a new role model coming to screen, in the adaptation of Captain Liz Clark's bestselling memoir, Swell: A Sailing Surfer's Voyage of Awakening. Captain Liz traveled over 20,065 nautical miles on her sailboat, Swell, traveling all the way from Santa Barbara to Panama and Tahiti. Her story about adventure, friendships, and her quest to find love has been followed by adoring fans of all ages worldwide.

Captain Liz Clark made the video announcement on her Instagram saying, "It's official! My book Swell is being adapted for TV. I'm super excited for the messages in the book to reach a broader audience." The video has been viewed over 20,000 times, celebrated by her over 100,000 fans.

It all started here in San Diego, where Captain Liz and her family are from. San Diego is also home to screenwriter/surferKaia Alexander, who is also CEO/founder of the Entertainment Business School. Alexander worked as a development executive on the movies JUST FRIENDS with Ryan Reynolds, and PEACEFUL WARRIOR with Nick Nolte. She then went on to work for comedian Garry Shandling.
