Pesky Pests- Fall Armyworms and The Dangers of This Pest

Even if you can't visibly see them or hear them entering your lawn, they tend to invade lawns in the masses and do some pretty harsh damage on them. It has been shown that some years are worse than others, and it is predicted that this year is likely to be a bad one for this type of pest. Some entomologists are even saying that the infestation/invasion has never been this bad or widespread before; which is definitely saying something of urgency.

Now, there is a question you must ask yourself; do you know what armyworms are and what they look like? This will make it easier to identify them in your yard. Even though the name suggests they are worms, they are actually considered moth caterpillars. Normally contained to the southeast, they are now infiltrating all the way to the west coast and starting to head north.
