Snell & Wilmer Partner Jeffrey Morton Elected to Arizona Bioindustry Association Board of Directors

SAN DIEGO - Jan. 28, 2022 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that partner Jeffrey D. Morton, Ph.D. has been elected to serve on the Arizona Bioindustry Association (AZBio) Board of Directors.

AZBio has supported life science innovation and innovators in Arizona since 2003. As a key component in Arizona's life science ecosystem, it is the only statewide organization exclusively focused on Arizona's bioscience industry. AZBio membership includes life science innovators, educators, healthcare partners and leading business organizations.

"I am thrilled to be elected to the Board and look forward to working with the other board members as we continue to support the growth of life science in Arizona," said Morton. "There is a natural corridor of life science and technology business flowing between Southern California and the state of Arizona and I hope to utilize my connections in both states to continue to develop and strengthen these relationships."

Morton is the Chair of the firm's Life Sciences and Medical Technology Industry Group and a Co-Chair of the Technology Industry Group. He has over 15 years of experience representing both start-up and large enterprises for their intellectual property and commercial law needs. He is retained on a regular basis to serve as external IP/technology counsel to companies around the world, and also represents numerous leading international law firms to protect their clients' intellectual property rights in the United States.

Morton continues to maintain an ongoing presence in Arizona, even after relocating to California in 2020 to lead the opening of Snell & Wilmer's office in San Diego. In 2021, he was selected by World IP Review as the sole patent attorney listed in Leaders 2021 for the State of Arizona.
