Domonique Christian, MS, Awarded National Bariatric Board Certification

FORT WORTH, Texas - Nov. 17, 2021 - PRLog -- Domonique Christian, MS, a nutrition and wellness counselor from Fort Worth, Texas, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized fellowship training and education program in bariatric science she was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (CBC).

Domonique earned both a public safety and human services master's degree from Capella University. She has certifications in nutrition and health coaching. Currently she is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and The Obesity Society.

Domonique personally has been a bariatric patient. This life changing experience has inspired her to pursue a career in bariatric counseling and help guide others in their personal journeys.

Her personal experience and recognition of the obesity pandemic, the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science led to her receiving a fellowship from AABC. Because of her commitment to bariatric care, AABC awarded her an academic scholarship. Her professional stature and clinical experience will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
