PRLog -- Cyril Grayson, wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has quietly been lurking behind the scenes waiting for his time to shine. Grayson is touted as one of the most accomplished student athlete products to emerge out of LSU's track and field program. This Kenner native was a multi-time state champion out of Rummel High School before signing with LSU. He is a 4-time National Champion and 7-time All-American
The speedster's moment of truth came when he found himself promoted to the practice squad with the Buccaneers facing off with the New Orleans Saint this past Sunday. Grayson was advanced from the practice squad on Saturday to provide additional depth due to Antonio Brown being out with an ankle injury.
During the final five minutes in the fourth quarter, Tom Brady sailed a solid bullet to Grayson for a breezy 50-yard touchdown which pulled the Buccaneers to a 27-26 lead over the Saints. The Saints answered back with a field goal and ultimately overturned the Buccaneers when Brady threw a pick-six on the final drive.
Even though his touchdown was not the winning catch, Cyril Grayson regards his first career touchdown as an NFL milestone. This coming in addition to the previous season where he earned his first Super Bowl ring.
