By: Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida This un-fur-gettable, family-fun event runs 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. with judging at 2 p.m. by locally recognized personalities, including FGCU President Mike Martin, NBC2 Chief Meteorologist Allyson Rae, and Sarah Newcomb, owner of The Wine Room. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories: Most Creative DIY, Funniest, Best Owner/Dog Duo, and Judges' Choice. Following the contest, stick around for the PAWty with some adoptable dogs from Gulf Coast Human Society, Team Moose Animal Rescue and Doghouse Rescue Academy. Pet food donations are encouraged. Register your pet for a $10 donation which includes a drink ticket (non-alcoholic options are available). Spectators are welcome at no cost. Free parking. All pets must be registered to participate in the contest. Registration will be available onsite prior to the event, or visit www.Goodwillswfl.org/ This event is a charity fundraiser to support the Pathways to Opportunity scholarship fund that allows people with developmental and intellectual disabilities to attend a full-day training program when they do not have the resources to attend otherwise. Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is a regional nonprofit organization committed to serving people with disabilities and disadvantages by providing life-changing opportunities toward independence. In 2020, Goodwill SWFL provided assistance to nearly 25,000 individuals in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Glades and Hendy counties.
