Vinnie Lichvar Elected to State Bar of Arizona's Criminal Justice Executive Council

PHOENIX - June 18, 2021 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Phoenix associate Vinnie Lichvar (https://www.swlaw.com/people/vinnie_lichvar) was elected to the Defense seat on the State Bar of Arizona's Criminal Justice (https://www.azbar.org/for-lawyers/communities/sections/criminal-justice/) Executive Council.

The State Bar of Arizona has over 18,000 members and supports all Arizona attorneys with a wide variety of benefits and services to help them grow their careers and practices. Member Services provides continuing legal education courses and seminars, practice management tools, publications, career advancement opportunities, such as the Bar Leadership Institute and the Board of Legal Specialization, as well as many other resources to connect with other attorneys. The Section of Criminal Justice's mission is to promote professional competence of the attorneys who practice in the criminal justice system, promote public understanding and promote just and swift operation of the criminal justice system.

Lichvar is an experienced litigator focused in criminal defense. He routinely represents corporations and individuals in government investigations, regulatory enforcement matters, and white-collar litigation.

As a former criminal prosecutor, Lichvar's practice includes defending assault and related offenses, allegations against juveniles (criminal court and school disciplinary actions), possession of prohibited substances, theft, fraud, organized crime, asset forfeiture, property crimes, and white-collar crimes. He also conducts internal, corporate investigations involving theft, fraud and other misconduct. He advises clients in regard to litigation subpoenas, Grand Jury Subpoenas, governmental administrative subpoenas, and other government requests for information.

Lichvar obtained his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010. Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, he was a Captain in the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corps, stationed in Oklahoma, Afghanistan, Colorado, Washington D.C., and most recently in Washington. Lichvar spent most of his time in the U.S. Army as a criminal justice practitioner and litigated more than 50 felony cases, including murder, rape, child crimes, narcotics and domestic violence cases.
