Follow on Google News | Brattleboro's Liz Simmons (of Low Lily) Announces Release Of New Solo Album, "Poets"By: Kindred Roots Entertainment Group The self-produced album features the mixing talents of Ben Savage (Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage) and the mastering skills of Nick Cooke (Kate Rusby). Liz provides her own guitar and piano, alongside guest musicians such as dobro phenom Andy Hall (The Infamous Stringdusters) Liz says of the album: "Audiences tell me over and over again how important it is to them to hear music that speaks to them, and how meaningful it is. That reflection that music creates– that connection– is the magic of music, and the stories we tell as musicians. That is why I have called the album 'Poets'. Each song tells a story through its lyrics, but also through its musical arc, its history and my connection to it." Poets is comprised of nine songs, both originals and tastefully arranged covers, exploring the topics of love, death, time, adventure, urban life, seafaring, and the current environmental reality. Ahead of the official release, Liz will be joined by Flynn Cohen for a celebratory livestream concert on Friday, February 26th at 8PM, hosted by the legendary Club Passim. The concert can be viewed on both Facebook and YouTube, with more information available at the following link. Suggested donation is $20. www.facebook.com/ For more about Liz and to purchase "POETS" on March 1, visit: www.LizSimmons.net. End
