How the new COVID rules will affect the optical shops in the UK?

MANCHESTER, Virgin Islands, British - Feb. 23, 2021 - PRLog -- On Monday,  22nd Feb 2021, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson put forward a step-by-step plan to reopen the UK economy. All of the restrictions will be lifted by 21st June. In the first phase, schools and universities will be opened. The shops and stores are not allowed to open until 12th April and this includes optical shops.

However, many optical stores remained open during the ongoing lockdown to cater to the visual needs of UK citizens. One such optical store is Specscart that operates physically and digitally as well.

In the words of the founder of Specscart, Siddharth Sethi, "We are going through difficult times but our optical stores and services will remain open to offer vision care to all our customers. We are abiding by all the government guidelines and since eye care is a medical necessity, we have got the permission to remain open".

Specscart continued to sell prescription glasses and offer their vision care services during the second lockdown. They create affordable eyewear and have two stores - Walkden and Bury. The company is looking for expansion this year by setting up a store in London.

Apart from store visits, customers can also buy glasses online for both prescription and plano lenses. The company gives fast delivery with a turnaround time of just one day. Specscart was  formed to sell good-quality cheap glasses online and help people in their vision. The unique idea of the company was well-received in the eyewear market and even won the Albert Gubay Enterprise Award in 2017.
