LyricalGenes Says Chasing Your Dreams is a "Beautiful Mess"

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio - Aug. 16, 2020 - PRLog -- On August 13th, LyricalGenes (Dana Burtin) released his unexpected single, "Beautiful Mess". Burtin's new song expresses the notion of dream chasing. Doing so [chasing your dreams] will result in mistakes that one must learn from, adapt, and capitalize on. When preparation meets opportunity, one is expected to be able to handle the many curve balls life may throw at you. With this being said, LyricalGenes's song "Beautiful Mess'' opens up with the sampled voice of Kehlani, an American singer, songwriter, and dancer from Oakland, California.

LyricalGenes begins his intro by comparing an acquaintance of his, who is looking to enter the NFL draft, back to the topic of a "Beautiful Mess". LyricalGenes's exceptional story-telling skills creatively illustrates a conversation he had with his future NFL acquaintance. LyricalGenes describes his acquaintance's passion for football and desire to be professional and become a full-time athlete. Of course, chasing your dreams is very important and necessary for happiness during one's existence on earth; however, LyricalGenes points out a few flaws within his acquaintances plan to enter the draft. Since LyricalGenes's acquaintance suffered a dislocated shoulder and multiple knee injuries while in college, LyricalGenes urges his acquaintance to have a plan B and plan C, just in case his dreams somewhat change down the road.

In the second verse, LyricalGenes points out how the universe is seemingly "blessing" him because he had to "start over". What LyricalGenes means by "starting over" is the fact that he had to step away from music for some time to reflect on what is really important in life. During LyricalGenes's break from music, he lets us know that he made a friend for the first time in his life. "I think I made a friend, I haven't said that in my life."  LyricalGenes has made songs in the past where he proclaims phrases like, "If I say we friends, then we're brothers" letting his future friends know that in order to be friends with LyricalGenes (Dana Burtin), you have to be like a brother and/or sister to him. Undying loyalty, trustworthiness, spontaneity, etc. are all qualities LyricalGenes seemingly looks for, based on his songs. Many people cannot live up to LyricalGenes's expectations; therefore, LyricalGenes's friend and family circle is extremely private and closed off.
