CLEVELAND - Aug. 5, 2021 - PRLog -- Dynamic duo, LyricalGenes and Half Past 12, release another double music video. This time the video captures the tourist attractions that Cleveland, Ohio has to offer. Dana Burtin, better known by his moniker "LyricalGenes", is captured reciting his lyrics in downtown Cleveland. In his Lauryn Hill sampled song, "9:13", LyricalGenes is walking down Cleveland's Hope Memorial Bridge. The video takes viewers on a journey to the other side of the bridge, subsequently tying into LyricalGenes's second song in the music video entitled, "Back To My Roots" (BTMR). Within BTMR, LyricalGenes passionately explains how difficult it is to break through in the industry. LyricalGenes then touches on his own experiences being rejected in the past and proving others wrong. Within the song, LyricalGenes states, "Have mercy on every soul that thinks giving chances is a playground...I'm not oversaturated in any sense. Me rapping and talking are totally different." This line is the personification of entertainment and business. I cannot help but compare LyricalGenes' lyrics to the rapper turned business mogul's in the music world like: Dr. Dre, Master P, Russ, Nas, and Jay-Z, to name a few. LyricalGenes is fighting a battle that these moguls had to go through before becoming multi-millionaires.
