Verandah Hosts Goodwill Golf Classic Oct. 8

FORT MYERS, Fla. - July 9, 2020 - PRLog -- Registration is now open to reserve a player spot in the 10^th Annual Goodwill Golf Classic. The annual four-person scramble, scheduled Oct. 8 at Verandah Golf Club, is presented by Sullivan Benefits. Proceeds will benefit programs and services offered through Goodwill that help people with disabilities and disadvantages remove barriers to their independence.

"We invite players to enjoy a top-notch area golf course while also supporting our mission of helping more than 24,000 individuals annually in Southwest Florida improve their lives," said John Nadeau, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida CEO/President.

Players will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on the Whispering Oak course, one of two Jack Nicklaus-designed courses at the venue. Lunch and prizes will follow in the club restaurant. The top prize will be a $7,500 Golf Vacation to play at Pebble Beach, including airfare, hotel and golf accommodations — to win, a player must score a Hole-in-One on the designated hole during the tournament.

Dozens of other prizes will be available through course contests and raffles. Cost is $125 per player or $500 per foursome. A limited number of sponsorships are available, such as Continental breakfast ($750) or hole sponsors ($250).
