Stroudwater Associates Announces New Integrated Approach to Revenue Cycle Management
Bringing strategic, operational, and analytics leadership together through a new collaborative approach to revenue cycle for rural, community and county-district owned hospitals
"Organizations are facing a tremendous amount of stress around cash flow in the current environment due to COVID-19," said Jeff Sommer, Managing Director of Stroudwater Associates. "From cash flow projection to understanding new billing guidelines and payor expectations to interim cost report modeling, hospitals are looking for a dedicated leader in the space who can put more structure around revenue cycle management."
Eric Shell, Stroudwater Associates' Board Chair; Opal H. Greenway, Principal; and Jonathan Pantenburg, Principal comprise the internal team leading the integrated revenue cycle management service line. It brings to bear the full power of the firm's expertise and analytics. With over 55 years of combined experience, each advisor is an expert in the strategic, operational, and financial needs of rural, community and county-district owned hospitals, health systems and physician practices. The revenue cycle management team will also include Amy Graham, Stroudwater's newest team member. Graham brings more than 20 years of experience to the team, including leading the revenue cycle functions for PathGroup, Walmart and AcariaHealth.
Over the past 18 months, Stroudwater Associates has made a concentrated effort to ensure each client engagement receives the collaborative knowledge of the firm. This initiative became even more urgent in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the financial stress it has brought to hospitals. A holistic, team-based approach to revenue cycle management provides clients the combined value of our revenue cycle expertise and the diverse perspectives of the entire firm, resulting in a comprehensive analysis that examines the revenue cycle from multiple angles.
"Our mission at Stroudwater has always been to ensure our clients are successful and sustainable despite the storms they may weather," explains Eric Shell, Stroudwater Associates' Chairman. "COVID-19 has not only put immense pressure on the healthcare industry, but also underscored the importance of a full team of experts who understand the needs of revenue cycle management. It's what the industry needs and wants, and we are proud to be leading the way."
