Hispano Vema in FUERZA 2035 Workshop nbr 9 CBRN Defense of Spanish Army

Spain Ministry of Defense organizes Workshop 9 FORCE 2035 CBRN Defense within the framework of the Experimental Plan "STUDIES FORCE 2035 and EXPERIMENTAL BRIGADE" with the aim of promoting research and technological development within CBRN field
 
MADRID - June 30, 2020 - PRLog -- Spanish Army, through  MALE (Army Logistics Support Command) and  General Armaments Directorate (DGAM) with collaboration of the CDTI (Center for the Industrial Technological Development) organize Workshop 9 FORCE 2035 CBRN Defense.

Since 2019, several Workshops have been held focused on: Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Anti-Air Defense Systems, Fires, Command, Maneuver, Protection, C-RPAS & Special Operations.

CBRN Defense Workshop was held on June 24-25, 2020, and its opening was carried out by the Chief of Army Logistics Support Command (JEMALE), Lieutenant General Ramón Pardo de Santayana.

COVID19 crisis and lessons learned in the context of Operation BALMIS, have been the starting point for this CBRN Defense Workshop.

Technological Observation and Prospective System (SOPT) was in charge, after an exhaustive selection process, for selection of  6 Spanish companies from  Defense Industry (TECNALIA, INDRA, HISPANOVEMA, IBATECH, i-4S and SDLE) and 5 Institutions (Universities of Alcala de Henares, Santiago de Compostela, Autonoma Madrid, TCTC and AITEX) to participate in this CBRN Defense Workshop.

Ministry of Defense representatives were CBRN Regiment Valencia of Spain Army, Emergency Support and Intervention Regiment (RAIEM) of UME, the General Sub-Directorate of Planning, Technology and Innovation of the DGAM, NBC Department of the National Institute of Aerospace Technology or the Center for Industrial Technological Development.

In the context of Hispano Vema's CBRN capabilities presentation, Rafael Arruga (Director of Business Development), firstly expressed his gratitude to the Spain Armed Forces for their extraordinary work carried out within the framework of Operation Balmis to fight against the spread of COVID19 and Hispano Vema pride due to in many of these operations CBRN decontamination equipment from Hispano Vema had been used.

Referring to future CBRN decontamination requirements, Rafael Arruga reviewed main trends and Hot Topics in CBRN international market, with special emphasis on decontamination of critical infrastructures and Mobile Multitasking CBRN Decontamination Stations.

Regarding that, eDecon10 (http://www.hispanovema.com/en/cbrn-decontamination-cbrn-decontamination-decon-apparatus/edecon-10) spotlighted as a fundamental decontamination capacity in the protection of critical infrastructures.

As well as, PDPOL (Mobile Multi-function CBRN Decontamination Station in Container)

which  provides capabilities for the decontamination of People, Vehicles, Materials, Equipment and Grounds. Based on Container of rapid deployment and high ergonomic, performance and efficiency.

In summary, CBRN Defence Workshop, due to the collaboration of leading Spain Defense Industry companies, Universities and Research Centers and main CBRN units of the Spanish Armed Forces, has allowed an important boost and progress in the objectives set.
