Steve Scott for the first time on "Music on The Couch" with Vinny Marini

PHILADELPHIA - May 11, 2020 - PRLog -- Tonight, Steve Scott will be talking about his new release with Vinny Marini host of Music on the Couch  at 11:15 PM EDT.

No Love for the Common Man (released on Jan. 20th, 2020) is a traditional theme album which explores the harsh-realities and vicissitudes of common folk in America.

Steve calls it "music with a conscience!" And he asks, "What the hell happened?" Quoting the famed Economist, Dr. Richard Wolff, who says, "In the '50s and '60s Folk, Country, Blues and Pop Music were the literature of opposition..." Wolff goes on to say, "why not today!?"

"We Know They Lied" tackles the abuse and devastation wrought by a corporate duopoly disguised as political parties in the U.S. – false-wars driven by avarice and greed; a routed middle-class; and, a corrupted system of justice and inequality that is fostered by the elite.

"Rise" (Detroit!) is a "people's anthem" celebrating the great city of Detroit and the love its music has given us all! This tune addresses the widely publicized cruelty inflicted on this great American city shamelessly hollowed out by vulture-capitalism. A working-class populace  forgotten and left behind that has produced a musical tradition,n so unique, that it has profoundly affected the soul of not only America, but the world!

"Wish You Well" is a timeless track that immediately grabs the listener with its distinctively powerful approach to a traditional sound:  This tune slams head-on into the issues of drug-addiction and poverty in rural America; and, the epic despair that has befallen a discarded, hard working and proud population.

Also, you'll find sweet sounding roots-music-treasures like "Livin' On Love," "Time Waits For No One" and "I Think About You" which explore the inward and outward emotional fragility of the human condition within the working-class.
