-- The manufacturer Didactum has developed a new product for monitoring industrial environments. With the new Didactum Monitoring System 300, business-critical equipment and systems can be protected in a holistic way around the clock.
The Monitoring System 300 is installed on DIN-rail. On the main unit there are 6 connections for sensors. The user can put together his individual monitoring solution from the extensive sensor range. Within the scope of environmental monitoring, important environmental influences such as temperature, humidity or air cooling can be permanently measured and monitored. Sensors for detecting water or fire blight are also available. Precise water alarm chains can be used to protect research, production and logistics areas from the consequences of devastating water damage. Current and voltage sensors connected to the monitoring system support permanent power monitoring in the rooms and facilities to be monitored. Safety sensors such as motion detectors, door contacts or light barriers protect sensitive areas from the expensive consequences of unauthorized access or break-ins. Existing sensors are integrated into the condition monitoring of the IP-based monitoring system with the support of measurement converters. Also Modbus RTU capable sensors and energy meters are supported by this fully SNMP compatible measuring and monitoring device.
Important plants, systems and machines are integrated into the real-time monitoring of the Monitoring System 300 via two-wire cable. If a machine or system reports a fault, the responsible employees are immediately informed via SNMP trap, e-mail and/or SMS (via Web-to-SMS service or LTE modem). Cost-intensive downtime and the associated productivity losses can be reduced by using an Ethernet-based measurement and monitoring system, in the form of the Didactum Monitoring System 300. In addition, the Monitoring System 300 messages and alarms via trap to SNMP-compatible SCADA and building management systems remotely transmitted. Additionally, leading network management systems (NMS) such as Nagios, Check MK, PRTG or Zabbix are supported.
All critical status changes and faults are clearly displayed in the web interface. The built-in alarm card displays critical sensor readings flashing so that the responsible technicians can immediately locate the source of the alarm. It is also possible to access a video surveillance camera connected to the Monitoring System 300 (extra charge). The video recording of important events can be sent via SMS*, FTP upload and e-mail to the control room or company headquarters.
