Brandi Sims Promoted to Vice President of Communications & Membership for Lawton Fort Sill Chamber

LAWTON, Okla. - April 28, 2020 - PRLog -- The Lawton-Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce today announced Brandi Sims has joined its executive team, as Vice President, Communications & Membership, effective immediately. As the VP of Communications & Membership, Sims will oversee marketing communications, membership recruitment, and retention. Under her direction, Sims will lead marketing and membership activities that support the strategic and creative direction of the Chamber, as it continues to bring new value-added benefits to the market, including an increased promotion of tourism.

"She is an important part of our success and our future. As Vice President, Brandi will continue to build the Chamber's relationships with our valued membership affiliates and partner associations, as well as oversee the development and implementation of our marketing initiatives."

Sims has shown her ability to portray leadership, initiative, and creativity through her efforts to share safety information, Small Business Administration resources, and virtual networking opportunities to aid in the relief for the unprecedented Coronavirus shut down.

Sims was formerly a Senior Publicist for a Virginia-based public relations agency specializing in professional athletes, celebrity entertainment, and small to midsize businesses, before being appointed to her current position in 2018. Since assuming the role, Sims has been instrumental in the improvement of Chamber communications by a 56% increase in brand awareness and social engagement, creative lead in marketing collateral, and enhanced internal communications efforts which contributed to the Chamber's recent Five Star accreditation status from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Sims earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Cameron University and Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Public Relations from Liberty University.
