College Access Group Hosts First Virtual Admissions and Recruitment Fair Apr 30

LAS VEGAS - April 28, 2020 - PRLog -- College Access Group, an industry leader in admissions and recruitment fairs for high school students, will host College Access Live on Thursday, April 30 from 9 am to 8 pm. The event will connect students with representatives from universities through virtual booths.

"Things are different for everyone right now with the pandemic," said Kirk Williams, Founder of College Access Group. "We were planning to host an in- person event this spring, but we decided to shift our plans to a virtual fair because we still want to help students prepare for college. The online platform also allows the universities to meet and recruit high school students in real time."

"The pandemic will go away but students still need to prepare for their futures. With this virtual fair, we want to create an environment that resembles what they would experience at an offline event."

Colleges that will be participating in College Access Live include the University of Nevada, Reno, Nevada State College, the College of Southern Nevada, Washington State University, Seton Hall University, the University of New Mexico, Chico State University, the University of South New Wales, Sydney, the University of Minnesota and Virginia State University among others.

 "College Access' events are creating tremendous opportunities for us to reach students," said Everett Jackson," Associate Director of Admissions for the University of Nevada, Reno. "Kirk cares about our community and his events are a reflection of the commitment he has to improving the lives of young people."

College Access Live will also feature motivational speakers including former NBA star and education advocate Jerome "Junkyard" Williams.

 "The events that we partner with College Access on are helping us fulfill our vision of supporting young people who want to continue their educations beyond high school," he said. "We appreciate the opportunity to touch more children's lives."

Scholarship workshops will be hosted by Scholarship Solutions and the Public Education Foundation.

KCEP 88.1 will host a session of Teen Talk Show at the Virtual Fair.
