Nursing Home Abuse Attorneys File Lawsuit Against ManorCare Health Services-Fountain Valley

The lawsuit, which was filed with the Superior Court of the State of California in Orange County, documents the family's claims in full and asks for damages on the grounds that the decedent's injuries were directly caused by elder abuse and negligent hiring practices at ManorCare Health Services-Fountain Valley. Upon her admittance to the facility in December 2019, the decedent was still recovering from a hip fracture surgery after a fall and required ongoing supervision and care.

Because the staff at ManorCare Health Services failed to provide proper supervision and care, the decedent fell again only a few days after her admission. Although she suffered another hip fracture in the fall, the facility staff falsely told her family that X-ray testing came back negative. A few days after the incident, the decedent's hip fracture was confirmed by her prior physician at Fountain Valley Hospital.

In addition to this preventable fall incident, the decedent also became severely dehydrated during her time at ManorCare Health Services, eventually leading to a urinary tract infection and possible renal failure. At this time, the family is seeking maximum compensation to account for the financial and emotional damage inflicted upon their deceased loved one.
