Firm Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Community Care & Rehabilitation Center in Brea
Garcia & Artigliere have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Community Care & Rehabilitation Center in Brea, California, on behalf of a family whose loved one sustained serious injuries and died as a result of negligence.

The lawsuit, which was filed with the Superior Court of the State of California in Los Angeles County, documents how the deceased victim developed multiple horrific pressure sores on her coccyx, buttocks, thighs, and left heel. These severe wounds exposed her muscle and bones, eventually becoming necrotic and leading to her premature death.
When she was admitted to the facility several years earlier, the victim needed assistance with rehabilitation and with many of her activities of daily living (ADLs), due to a previous fall and ankle fracture. The staff at Community Care & Rehabilitation Center had a clear obligation to provide her with appropriate care – and ensure that she was regularly moved to avoid pressure sores, which are considered to be a "never event" by the medical community.
Unfortunately, the facility staff repeatedly failed to provide the victim with the basic care she deserved. Now her three surviving heirs have decided to take legal action to account for her suffering and their loss of companionship. If anyone has additional information about substandard conditions at Community Care & Rehabilitation Center, they are invited to contact the family's legal representatives at Garcia & Artigliere right away.
