Readiness Associates, Choura Events offer COVID-19 shelter solutions for healthcare

PORTLAND, Maine - April 13, 2020 - PRLog -- Readiness Associates, a national consulting firm that helps clients prepare for natural and man-made disasters, has joined with Choura Events to offer shelter solutions for healthcare facilities coping with the current surge in COVID-19 cases.

Choura Events, a Torrance, California, company, normally works with the entertainment and sports industries and has provided temporary shelters for such high-profile events as the U.S. Open (Golf) Championship, the 46th Walker Cup golf match, Coachella, and Stagecoach. When such events recently began to be postponed or canceled as COVID-19 swept across the world and the U.S., Choura Events CEO Ryan Choura recognized the need and quickly pivoted his company to help healthcare organizations.

"Hospital structures can be deployed in less than 48 hours," said Choura, "and come equipped with reliable power, negative air pressure, HVAC, flooring, lighting, hard or glass walls, pedestrian directional and control equipment, Internet services, and more – whatever is needed.

"We are incredibly excited and honored to work with Readiness Associates. Their ability to reach more than 4,000 healthcare facilities and their credibility will help us to cut through all the clutter and help in this pandemic. We're trying to make a difference."

Choura Events has already provided shelters for healthcare facilities on the West Coast, including: the City of Pasadena Rose Bowl testing facilities; Fountain Valley Regional Hospital; Long Beach Memorial Hospital; Lakewood Regional Hospital; Mission Hospital; Torrance Memorial Medical Center; Pacifica Hospital of the Valley; VALB Medical Center; and 10 testing centers throughout Southern California. In hopes of expanding its presence in the industry, Choura Events turned to Readiness Associates and its existing partnerships in the healthcare space.

"We are pleased to partner with Choura Events and to offer their extensive sheltering capabilities to healthcare organizations nationwide," said Michael Boardman, Readiness Associates CEO. "This joint effort should contribute greatly in the nationwide fight against COVID-19, which could continue for months and possibly include a second wave in the fall."
