Fundraiser aims to support family of North Carolina state highway patrol trooper killed in crash

SMITHFIELD, N.C. - March 28, 2020 - PRLog -- A state trooper killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-795 in Wayne County near Pikeville yesterday will be honored with commemorative apparel remembering the officer's sacrifice while raising funds for his grieving family.

Trooper Nolan J. Sanders was driving his cruiser while on duty the evening of Friday, March 27 when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a concrete culvert off I-795 near the U.S. 70 bypass. He died at the scene.

The 28-year-old trooper had served with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol for five years.

In honor of the fallen officer, the charitable arm of American lifestyle brand Shield Republic has introduced a commemorative apparel campaign. Through the "Hold the Line" campaign for Trooper Sanders, the Shield Republic will sell t-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, hoodies, ladies' tank tops and decals paying tribute to the fallen trooper. All net proceeds from apparel sales will be donated to the Sanders family.
