Follow on Google News | Daughters of Punjab: A story of Resilience, Dignity and PersistenceOnce upon a time, there were five little girls who believed in themselves and in the women they wanted to be. One fine day they stood gazing at the fragmented remains of their wings smashed by the patriarchal society. Calmly they observed the broken, blurry pieces that silently glittered on the ground. And yet they felt so proud of their reflections and shadows that smiled back at them. Society, by all means, could chop off their wings but their spirits were indomitable. And though these women with a spine of steel, at times could be broken, but could never be defeated. It's a saga of confidence, courage, and compassion. It's a tribute and salute to the Daughters of Punjab. Preet Inder Dhillon bought herself glory and also 'The Women Achiever Award Canada' with her debut book titled 'Rags to Ragas and Beyond'.
