Local Startup, The Cannabis Supply Store (TCSS) recognized a troubling lack of education available for current and hopeful farmers in the land of enchantment. To solve this problem they decided to launch a series of educational and networking events aimed to help farmers connect with suppliers, educators, and each other. The first HEMP NM event will take place at Violet Crown Cinema in Santa Fe on February first from 9:30am-2:30pm. After the class, attendees are encouraged to stick around for a Networking Happy Hour, where they can meet other farmers and ask questions of the speakers.
This is an opportunity for New Mexicans interested in hemp farming or already in the industry to really understand what it takes to get a successful operation up and running. Speakers will cover topics from seed selection to land & soil preparation, as well as New Mexico law and licensing - everything one needs to know from "seed to sale"
For their inaugural event, TCSS has enlisted the partnership and expertise of one the world's top experts on organic hemp cultivation, Farmer Tom Lauerman. Lauerman is a world class Organic Farmer with international recognition. As an active voice in the Industry since 1998, he has a wealth of agricultural knowledge that he's bringing to HEMP NM on February 1st.
Farmer Tom is one of the most recognizable Hemp Farmers in the world today. Often referred to as the "Bert's Bees of Weed", he has taught college courses on Cannabis in Washington, and currently consults on hemp and cannabis farms all over the world.
"We are thrilled to partner with Farmer Tom for this first event, and we envision HEMP NM to become a trusted, recognizable name for education and networking in the fast-growing New Mexico cannabis and hemp community," says TCSS co-founder Alexander Howell.
Passes to the event are now $99 and will increase to $149 on January 16th. This price includes the class, lunch catered by Violet Crown, and access to the Networking Hour.
