Utkarsh India Limited participated at the 80th Annual IRC event in Patna

KOLKATA, India - Dec. 30, 2019 - PRLog -- 80th Indian Road Congress (IRC) will raise the bar of knowledge, development, innovations and amenities for road development with the introduction of advanced instrumental solutions. India is witnessing major changes in infrastructure development vis-a-vis the transportation network of the country viz the national highways, state highways and bridges. The various highways improvement project is being undertaken by Road Construction Department, Govt. of Bihar and its undertakings.

There is always a conflict between development and environment and, therefore, a trade-off is necessary to balance the two, so that development is sustainable. In light of this IRC has also taken-up steps towards environment protection by using recycled waste and by minimising the use of natural resources. Road Construction Department Govt. of Bihar and its agencies are making all endeavour to offset the loss of trees and other changes resulting from the adverse consequence of widening. Road Construction Department has a considered view that highways should not be looked upon merely as a means of transportation but as a part and parcel of the environmental and socio-economic –milieu.

80th IRC session 2019 is organized by "Road Construction Department", Government of Bihar. The Main Objectives of the Road Construction Department are (a) Planning and designing road network to provide optimized connectivity to rural and urban areas. (b) To achieve the goal of socio-economic development through proper management of road communication. (c) Construction, Upgradation and Maintenance of roads and bridges. The Department's Areas on Interest are (a) To upgrade road infrastructure to a level close to the National average. (b) Effective management of high-density traffic in urban areas. (c) To ensure full road connectivity up to Block level. (d) To adopt the latest technology for construction. (e) All-weather road in flood-prone zones.

This annual gathering will be held on 19th to 22nd December 2019 at Samrat Ashoka Convention Kendra in the historic city of Patna, the capital of Bihar State.

The Convention Kendra has three major signature buildings. The Samrat Ashoka Convention Kendra spread over 12 acres at Patna, is a modern architectural vocabulary with the signature of Bihar's progress as a window to the world. The basic components of the Samrat Ashoka Convention Kendra are a convention hall of 5000 person capacity, an exhibition hall, an auditorium(Gyan Bhawan) with 800 people capacity, a Food court and a landscape area with landmark structure of civilization gate, "Sabhyata Dwar".
