TORONTO - Dec. 16, 2019 - PRLog -- The second year of the Womens Freedom Song Contest is accepting entries starting Dec. 19 to March 1, 2020! They are looking for the next "Female Anthem." Do you have an inspiring song about women to share?

The contest is open to everyone who writes songs, (all genders too!),

If the song celebrates the power of a woman in one (or all) aspects of her glory, send it in. They are not looking for production and performance. Originality, melody and lyrics are the main judging criteria.

This year there are two video categories. You are welcome to submit an "indie" music video with a "female theme," and a documentary short under ten minutes that deals with female-related issues.

There are some highly skilled judges this year, with some golden ears. Your music will be in front of Award winning songwriter Alan Roy Scott (Celine, Patti Labelle, Notorious B.G. G, Pointer Sisters), Sandy Ramos (#1 dance hit by Rhett Akins and songs recorded by the Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Anne Murray, Kenny Rogers), Brent Backhus (recording engineer for The Whispers, John Lee Hooker, Solomon Burke), David Eaton (producer/engineer for Polyphonic Spree, Dynamite Hack, Archivist for top tier record label), Rick Rose (former staff writer for Sony ATV Nashville & Warner Chappel), Sara Knight (Talent Mgmt. & Booking Agency), Kim Krizan (Academy Award Nominee for Best Adapted Screenplay and a Writers Guild Award), Ruth McCartney, CEO of McCartney Multimedia, Heather Gardner (Head of Music Supervision at Vapour Music), Diana Williamson (2 x #3 Billboard Hot Club Chart Writer, Author and CEO of Themusiclibrary.org)

Some wonderful prize sponsors are on board, such as "The Music Registry," in depth music directories, song pitch opportunities from "The Song Tuner," Artist coaching with Trina Harmon, the Indie Bible (directories), passes to Springboard Memphis Artist Bootcamp and Festival, a personalized, autographed book by Kim Krizan (Original Sins: Trade Secrets of the Femme Fatale), AirPlay Direct's radio promotional opportunities, the book 101 Tips and Tricks of Successful Songwriting and Broadjam, a wonderful music community with many opportunities to pitch your music.

The company has created two international song contests in the past and received entries from over 23 countries. One was voted "Top 10" by Music Connection Magazine. They are a group of hard working music professionals who want to hear, promote and discover some great music.

Winners will be announced on International Womens Day, March 8, 2020.
