The Bear Creek School Hosts How to Communicate in the Teenage Years

 
REDMOND, Wash. - Nov. 19, 2019 - PRLog -- Let's admit, it can be challenging to communicate. Spend a morning delving into the positive purposes and problems with technology as well as spend time brainstorming how to engage in old-school face-to-face conversation. Parents and teenagers and tweenagers, you are all invited.

Bear Creek is excited to host Tools for Success: How to Communicate in the Teenage Years on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Bear Creek's Upper School (8525 208th Ave. NE, Redmond, WA). Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and refreshments, and the presentation begins at 9:00 a.m. This seminar is free and open to the public.

Donna Dunn has taught science at Bear Creek since 1997 after spending several years researching viral-borne diseases for the Centers for Disease Control in Colorado. She is Bear Creek's Science Department Chair and teaches AP Biology and Marine Biology. Her four children are Bear Creek alumni. She holds a B.S. Microbiology from Oregon State University and an M.S. Molecular Biology from Colorado State University.

As the Early Middle School and Middle School Dean of Students, Nathan Pettit works with the faculty, staff, and students to develop, implement, and oversee programs, events, and activities that enhance the faith, community, and character of the students. He is a devoted husband and father to his wife and two sons. He holds a B.A. Biblical Languages and an M.A. Biblical Studies from Northland International University as well as an M.A. Biblical Exegesis from Wheaton College.
