The Bear Creek School Hosts How to Prepare Your Child for Kindergarten

 
REDMOND, Wash. - Jan. 23, 2020 - PRLog -- Kindergarten is a new (and exciting) chapter in a child's life! Spend the morning learning how to encourage your child's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth at home. Bear Creek's V.P. for Academic Affairs Karen Blankenbeckler will also show you how to identify various factors that indicate kindergarten-readiness.

Bear Creek is excited to host Tools for Success: How to Prepare Your Child for Kindergarten on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at our Bear Creek Preschool (19315 NE 95th St., Redmond, WA). Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and refreshments, and the presentation begins at 9:00 a.m. This seminar is free and open to the public.

Karen Blankenbeckler is one of the founding members of Bear Creek's teaching faculty and as the V.P. for Academic Affairs oversees the academic program from preschool through grade 12. She has served more than 25 years in steadfast leadership and has made major contributions to the development and success of the curricular and co-curricular programs at Bear Creek. She holds a B.S. Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Development from Oregon State University and an M.A. Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University.

Tools for Success is a seminar series at which Bear Creek faculty will speak on a variety of parenting and academic topics. These sessions focus on subjects ranging from preschool to college planning.
