-- The RV Advisor recently formed the Recreational Vehicle Advisor Consumer Association
(RVACA), to defend the independent RV owner. The goal is to get a seat in Washington and fight for RV owners' rights.
"An association is a collection of like-minded professionals working towards a goal that benefits everyone in the group," RV Advisor Founder and CEO, Gigi Stetler said. "As Michael Jordan once said, 'Talent wins games but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.' If you want to change something, you have a much better chance of succeeding with a team as compared to the struggles you will undoubtedly face just by yourself."
The more people defended the mightier the sword becomes. Without the association, the rights and privileges of RV owners would be at the mercy of state and local governments. The main goal of the RVACA is to avoid drowning in a sea of taxes, restrictions, local legislation and bureaucracy.
"Every RV enthusiast should join the RVACA," Stetler added. "For starters, there is no better place for networking than an association. Imagine attending a meeting filled with like-minded RV owners. Think of all the meaningful connections you could make!"
Another benefit to joining an association, is the wealth of knowledge and educational opportunities available. Also, an RVACA membership means people are part of an exclusive group. This group provides access to valuable industry insight, and the ability to spearhead initiatives that benefit RV owners everywhere.
"What are our rights anyway? As a consumer, you have the right to safety," Stetler continued. "RVACA will protect consumers from shady dealership practices and manufacturer defects that could harm you and your family. You also have the right to be informed. False and misleading advertising claims could entrap any consumer."
The consumer's right to choose is another generally accepted basic right that is often misused and broken. RVACA is poised to protect the availability of competing goods, services and prices. Lastly, consumers have the right to be heard. Stetler wants to assure that every consumer commands these inalienable rights. However, the battle is ensuring that these rights are honored. Stetler has over thirty years of experience in the RV industry. "Knowledge is power and experience is armor," Stetler concluded. "With the formation of RVACA (http://rvaca.org/
), we will be more powerful and our crusade will be more dynamic."
