Children Uniting Nations Celebrating the Day of the Child

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Oct. 19, 2019 - PRLog -- Children Uniting Nations (CUN) will hold its annual Day of the Child celebration on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California.

CUN founded by Daphna Ziman supports children living in and out of foster care.  Its mission is to create loving, tolerant, and capable world citizens.

For nearly 20 years, CUN has given thousands of children in foster care a special day of fun, food, and entertainment, relying on the support of community leaders, educators and celebrities.  The celebration is also used to bring awareness to the need for the ongoing support of CUN's mentorship program.

Surprisingly, many of the youth in foster care have never been treated to an amusement park, or experienced walking on the sand or putting their feet in the ocean. CUN volunteers give them an exciting day that lets them know how valuable they are.

"Supporting children in foster care sends a universal message; that we care and what we can do to help these underserved children." Children and youth in foster care benefit most when they are provided a mentor who gives them the attention they deserve and who genuinely cares about them.

To ensure the success of the Day of The Child, CUN relies on sponsors for backpacks, pens, notebooks./diaries, beverages, water, snacks, blankets and soft toys that are easily transportable.
