HAVERHILL, Mass. - Sept. 21, 2019 - PRLog -- $38,300 in available grant funds have been endowed by the Massachusetts Cultural Council for the purpose of financially assisting organizations and individuals that bring cultural events and programs to Haverhill. This is a 29% increase from 2018.

"This is a very important meeting where the council members have reviewed all the submitted applications and then ask questions to gain clarity or identify missing elements from the applications. In fact, it is so important to our process that the Council awards 5 points toward the overall evaluation, graded on a 100 point scale, for each applicant that shows up in person or sends a knowledgeable proxy. Our goal with this meeting is to give every applicant a final chance to provide the information we need to consider his or her application." said Alison Colby-Campbell, HCC chair.

The Haverhill Cultural Council is also in search of new members to help make our 2019-2020 grant season and upcoming events a success. To become a member, interested individuals can apply at Haverhill City Hall by visiting the mayor's office. Mayor James J. Fiorentini appoints council members who are sworn in by the city clerk's office and serve a term of 3 years.

Applications are still available on the Mass Cultural Council Website at www.mass-culture.org/haverhill and must be submitted by the October 15th deadline.
