Follow on Google News | Mass Cultural Council Announces LCC Allocations for 2020 Grant SeasonThis season, $38,300 in available grant funds have been endowed by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, which is a 29% increase over last year's $29,600 allocation amount. "The Haverhill Cultural Council is very grateful to the Mass Cultural Council and the state legislators for making this increase in funding possible and recognizing the value that arts and culture bring to our cities and towns," says HCC Chair Alison Colby-Campbell. "Our grant application period is open from September 1 through October 15. We look forward to seeing how the additional budget will enhance the cultural horizons in Haverhill for the upcoming year." Last season, the Haverhill Cultural Council awarded $34,228 to 28 grant recipients for programs such as art shows, historical, educational, and cultural programs, music, community events for kids and families, school and church performances and more.
