Several states are requiring the use of cervid based natural urine scent for deer and elk hunting to meet standards of the Archery Trade Association Deer Protection Program..  Some state have even taking it further action requiring  RT-QuIC testing protocol in order for hunters to legally use cervid scent based products as part of hunting regulations.

Based on fact based research, our industry discussions, and Buck Baits opinion, the risk of cervid urine-based scents spreading CWD is virtually zero, there is a lot of false and misleading information driving industry gaming policy and regulations regarding urine-based scents and CWD.

CWD Evolution, LLC. a research lab has designed the testing protocols for testing cervid urine using this method for CWD detection. It has been accepted as credible facility by various state gaming officials as an alternative to a ban on cervid urine based product.

This test will allow Buck Baits to test cervid based deer and elk scents to verify that no level of CWD is detected in their urines. The test verifies that no detectable levels of CWD are found and provides a final positive confirmation that the products are safe for use and without the risk of spreading CWD.  Hunters will still have to be up to date and aware of ongoing regulation and changes regarding the use of scent based urine in their states..
