Upcycle Bootcamp: Make Art and Save the Landfill

By: Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida

FORT MYERS, Fla. - July 25, 2019 - PRLog -- Goodwill Guru, Renae Corvi, is hosting an Upcycling Bootcamp, 11 am – 1 pm on Aug 7th at the Challenger Goodwill Retail and Donation Center (4950 Challenger Blvd.).  The event will feature hands-on activities that creatively re-use materials otherwise headed for the landfill and is geared especially for those who enjoy crafts, want to learn a new skill, or learn to creatively decorate their home.  There is no fee for the class, but a $10 donation is recommended to cover Renae's time and supplied materials.

With the focus on reducing your carbon footprint, upcycling has become an emerging trend.  Renae will demonstrate ways of repurposing inexpensive finds at your local Goodwill retail stores into useful  and beautiful items for the home.
