LOS ANGELES - June 22, 2019 - PRLog -- This Thursday June 27th, Founder and Executive Director of Jazz Hands for Autism, Ifunanya Nweke, is being honored by the Los Angeles based Empowerment Congress as one of its distinguished 40 Under 40. The annual award recognizes young leaders for outstanding achievement in the fields of labor, business, public service, NGO/philanthropy and media. Nweke, a Nigerian born Angeleno who graduated from UCLA in 2013, began her public service by giving a few concerts. Born out of a love for music and those who struggle with Autism Spectrum Disorder, the concerts, designed to showcase the talents of autistic musicians, have grown to be a vibrant multi-faceted program. The program includes a vocational academy designed to train, mentor, and prepare musically talented ASD individuals for work in the music industry. Founded in 2014, Jazz Hands for Autism has become arguably the best resource for ASD musicians to find professional work, as well as a great resource for employers looking for competent, dependable musical talent. Her award is richly deserved.
