Actuated Medical Welcomes New Board Member

BELLEFONTE, Pa. - May 29, 2019 - PRLog -- Actuated Medical, Inc. (AMI) announced the addition of a new member to its Board of Directors, Dr. Frederick A. Browne, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Griffin Hospital in Derby, Connecticut.

Dr. Browne is an accomplished, strategic healthcare executive with deep operational and clinical history of leading healthcare organizations via strategic planning, staff development, quality management and cultural transformation. Dr. Browne's considerable expertise includes healthcare operational management, business innovation, population health education/strategy and community/medical staff engagement. Dr. Browne brings a unique perspective of a clinician and a healthcare administrator to product evaluation, population health and physician engagement strategies.

At Griffin Hospital, Dr. Browne's numerous responsibilities include VP of Medical Affairs, Infectious Diseases Physician, Hospitalist and nursing home medical director. In these roles, Dr. Browne effectively balances the clinical and administrative needs of the healthcare system, with a keen focus on population health initiatives in partnership with employed and independent members of his medical staff. With a passion for academic excellence and continuous learning, Dr. Browne excels at and enjoys his role as an Adjunct Professor in the newly-accredited Masters of Physician Assistant Studies program at Sacred Heart University in Stamford, CT.

Dr. Browne completed his residency at Pennsylvania State University/Hershey Medical Center in Internal Medicine and Anatomic/Clinical Pathology.  His fellowship was at Yale University School of Medicine in Infectious Diseases, Medical Microbiology and Epidemiology. Dr. Browne is a graduate of the University of New Haven, West Haven, CT where he received a Masters of Business Administration. His extensive experience as a Vice President of Medical Affairs, Chief Medical Officer, Academian and Clinician has developed into a passion for advising companies about strategies around product development, implementation, marketing, fund raising and population health.  Dr. Browne enjoys sharing his experience and expertise in healthcare operational management, business innovation, population health education/strategy and community/medical staff engagement to help ensure success.
