FANWOOD, N.J. - May 28, 2019 - PRLog -- After much anticipation, the ScoopU mobile application has been released into the Apple App Store. It can be downloaded free of charge to not only be used within the participating cities and universities, but also for day-to-day GPS necessities.

For those that are unfamiliar with ScoopU, ScoopU is a Transportation Network Company that offers a free rideshare service to people in designated municipalities or universities that approve the service. The application offers a global positioning system that would allow the traveler to pin, or enter, their location and a driver will come to that location to take them to their desired destination.

This application is a result of tireless efforts from ScoopU's CTO, Kevin Guns. The programming of this mobile application was completed in less than 6 months and was created with minimal, to relatively no help, by Guns. Guns is quoted saying "It was a tireless process where I got an opportunity to learn a lot about app development," he goes on, "This app tested my programming ability - there was a lot of trial and error along the way."

Being that this is the first version of the app, which developers rarely make public, ScoopU acknowledges that there is much room for improvement. Their technologies team is working incredibly hard to polish the application, placing additional functions into the app as well as make it more astatically pleasing. One area immediately being addressed is the applications search bar. Currently, the search bar can only function given street addresses, rather than being able to search a specific destination by name.

What they are asking the general public to do is to download the mobile application and use its GPS function by utilizing the search bar at the top of the initial screen. Considering the rideshare portion is not currently implemented at a university or municipality, users cannot  request a ride but can use the app to route them to a desired destination and drive there themselves by typing in the address of said destination. This will help to ensure GPS quality come time for city and campus integration.

User friendliness is rather important to ScoopU's team, therefore there will be updates released weekly – so be on the lookout for your suggestions to come into fruition!

To ensure ease of use and to get the best feedback possible, a short survey will be attached to the bottom of the contact page on the ScoopU website to allow users to give constructive feedback.  Guns says "We refuse to issue an application that remains stagnant. The ability to continuously change and grow from this first step is our essence as an organization."

This process will be conducive to a better overall product and ensure that ScoopU's customers remain satisfied. Once the survey is completed click submit at the bottom right hand side and it will be reviewed by the technologies team.
